MA Coursework

Throughout this project I have been looking deeply into the Myths and Legends of Wales. I have been drawn to and investigated the landscape in which the stories were a direct response to. I have gone out to the sites of the stories and collected data and made drawings out in the environment which I have then used to make mixed media artworks and illustrations back in the studio. These stories were the thoughts, emotions and feelings of the storyteller in the landscape in which they were travelling through, inhabiting and of the times in which they were living. Along the way I have uncovered many layers of folklore, history, geography, ecology, traditions, narrative, human activity and response and much more.
